M3: Optimise the Content For Use In the Final Animation
Optimise the Content For Use In the Final Animation
I decided to use Adobe Illustrator for my animation because they are vector graphics. Adobe Illustrator creates shapes instead of pixels. Bitmap files are made of pixels which you can see if you zoom into the image. This means when I try to resize the bitmap image, the image can become pixellated and distorted as the image is trying to use pixels it doesn't have. Hoeever, vector graphics are created using shapes and lines. Youu can resize and edit these much easier which is ideal for animation since I will need to resize my graphics sometimes. Illustrator created vector graphics so I decided this was the best program to use.
I saved all of my Adobe Illustrator files on my Adobe Creative Cloud. You can see some of the graphics on there above. These are all aic. files. Once I illustrated all of my graphics, I decided the easiest way to import them was to just copy and paste the graphics when I had them open in Adobe Illustrator. This was a lot easier than having to save all of my files onto my laptop and importing them all in.
I
optimised the content of my animation by using the file, export,
video/media option. I chose to export my animation as H.264 high
bitrate. I did this because this combination is of the highest video
quality while also compressing the file size of my animation. The video
then gets sent to Adobe Media Encoder where the animation will be
rendered correctly.
I
optimised the voiceover audio for my animation uing the file, export as
option. I chose to export the audio as a WAV file. This file format
does compress the audio, usually when audio is compressed it looses
quality. However, WAV files have allowed me to export my audio to the
highest quality and this has made my audio sound amazing.
I finished my animation and exported this final product in Adobe Premiere Pro. I chose the file, export option. I optimised the final animation by using the H.264 high bitrate again since this creates high quality video and audio. I exported this and completed my animation. It was the intention of the client to stream their animation through YouTube so I required the highest quality possible.
